K3 class kids became Santa Claus!

K3クラスはSanta Clausになりました！

They designed their own Santa outfits and made them out of construction paper to fit them onto their little bodies!

体のバランスを考えながら、サンタさんの服装も自分なりにデザインして、クラフトペーパーで作りました！

K1 Tea Ceremony.

Everyone did very well in a quiet and calm manner.

静かに落ち着いてよくできました。

They are getting used to using both hands and are trying not to make any noise during the ceremony.

両手を使う所作にも慣れて、音を立てない努力をしていたと思います。

The tea seemed to taste good and some of the kids made a slurping sound, but they did their best!

お茶がおいしかったようで、勢いよくズズズっと音がたってしまうこともありましたが、頑張りました！！

On this month’s WORLD Culture Day we learned about Poland.

今月のWorld Culture Dayはポーランドについて学習しました。

We made Pierogi and Apple Carrot Salad.

PierogiとApple Carrotサラダを作りました。

It was very impressive to see how well K2 handled the dough!

K2はDoughの扱い方本当にうまくて感心しました！

The children were covered in flour, but we could see their joy in making something!

子ども達は粉まみれになってましたが、それでも何かを作ることで喜びを感じるのすごく伝わってきました！

Cooking was a lot of fun! The Pierogi was delicious!

Cooking楽しかったですね！できたPierogiもとてもおいしかったです！

This month, instead of following the teacher’s instructions, we had them think about what they had learned so far and try to do it on their own. There were some mistakes, but everyone seemed to be able to move in the same way.

今回は先生に言われたことに従うのではなく、これまで覚えたことを自分なりに考えて動いてもらいました。細かい違いはありましたが、それぞれ一連の流れができているように思いました。

We practiced cutting Yokan (sweet bean jelly) with the sweets pick.

They were able to use it well

菓子切を使って、羊羹をいただきました。

This month on World Culture Day we learned about Poland

今月のWorld Culture Dayはポーランドについて学習しました。

We made Polish Pierogi and Apple Carrot Salad for lunch.

ランチにポーランドのPierogiとApple Carrotサラダを作りました。

When K1 saw the Pierogi Dough cut into small pieces, they said “Cookies! Cookies!” thinking they were making cookies.

小さく切ったPierogiのDoughを見てK1はクッキー！クッキーと言ってました！

They would be absolutely delicious baked, but it’s Pierogi, so this time we boiled them.

焼いても絶対美味しいと思いますが、Pierogiだから今回はBoilしました！

They were delicious!!!

おいしかったです！

K3 class studied about Petra in “7 wonders of the Modern World” in Geography today.

K3クラスは今日Geographyで“ 7 wonders of the Modern World”のペトラ遺跡について勉強しました。

They used a map to locate the site and watched a video of the documentary.

地図を使って位置を確認して、ドキュメンタリーのビデオも観ました。

In Pre Kindy class, the children worked on pencil control, bead threading, and finger training using pom-poms.

Pre Kindy classでは、pencil control.ビーズ通し、ポンポンを使った手先のトレーニングなどを行いました。

Even though it was difficult for them to do well at first, they kept trying and showed patience to continue until they were able to do it very well.

最初はなかなか上手くできないことにも、根気強く取り組み、とても上手にできるようになるまで続ける忍耐強さを見せてくれました。

They are still so small… we are very impressed. The lesson was fun and full of smiles

こんなに小さいのに…感動しました。楽しく笑顔が絶えないレッスンとなりました

K3 class made Christmas wreaths! All they had to do was wrap tinsel around a ring, but they couldn’t tell which way in and which way out.

K3クラスはクリスマスリースを作りました！輪っかにモールをクルクル巻くだけなのですが、入口と出口分からなくなってあれれ？

It was cute to see many of them confused. Everyone was able to finish, and the wreaths are now on display in front of the classroom

となる子が多くて可愛かったです。無事完成して教室の前にステキに飾られています
